User Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how users can request deletion of account, profile, social login, and content data held by KCulture.com.

These instructions apply to local KCulture.com accounts created through Facebook Login, Google Sign-In, or another registration method. Deleting data from KCulture.com does not delete the user’s Facebook or Google account or information independently held by those providers.

I. How to Submit a Data Deletion Request

To request deletion of your KCulture.com account or personal data, send an email to [email protected].

Include the email address associated with your KCulture.com account.
Include your last known username or display name.
Identify the sign-in method you used, such as Facebook, Google, or direct registration.
State whether you are requesting deletion of your account, profile information, comments, other user content, or all eligible personal data.

Do not send your Facebook password, Google password, KCulture.com password, one-time verification code, access token, authorization code, or any other authentication secret.

II. Identity Verification

To protect users from unauthorized deletion requests, KCulture.com must reasonably verify that the requester controls the account or associated email address.

After receiving a request, KCulture.com will normally send a confirmation message to the email address associated with the account.
The requester must complete the confirmation step before deletion is performed.
KCulture.com may process the request using the privacy tools provided by WordPress or another appropriate account-verification method.
If the requester no longer has access to the associated email address or social login account, KCulture.com may request additional information reasonably necessary to verify account ownership.
Publicly visible comments, post titles, or profile information alone will not normally be treated as sufficient proof of account ownership.
If identity cannot be sufficiently verified, processing may be delayed until the required verification is completed.

III. Data Covered by a Verified Request

Depending on the request, the information held by KCulture.com, and applicable legal or technical requirements, KCulture.com will delete, disconnect, or anonymize eligible information associated with the verified account. This may include:

the local WordPress or Ultimate Member account;
the user’s email address, display name, and profile fields;
locally stored profile images or avatars;
Facebook or Google identifiers linked to the local account;
social login authentication tokens held by KCulture.com, if any;
comments and other user-submitted content identified in the request;
newsletter subscription information, where applicable; and
personal information stored by WordPress plugins that participate in the site’s privacy and deletion process.

Comments or other user content may be deleted or anonymized, depending on the nature of the request and whether limited retention is reasonably necessary to preserve discussion integrity, enforce site rules, prevent abuse, comply with law, or protect legal rights.

Deleting the local account may prevent the user from accessing content or account settings. Users should identify any content they specifically want deleted when submitting the request.

IV. Processing Time and Retention Limitations

KCulture.com will normally complete a verified deletion request within seven days after successful identity verification. More time may be required if the request is unusually complex, affects multiple systems, or requires additional legal or technical review. In all cases, requests will be handled within the period required by applicable law.

Deleted information may temporarily remain in encrypted, restricted, or otherwise protected backups until those backups are replaced or removed through the normal backup cycle. Backup data is not used for ordinary website operations. If a backup is restored, KCulture.com will take reasonable steps to continue honoring previously verified deletion requests.

Limited information may also be retained where reasonably necessary to:

comply with a legal obligation or valid government request;
detect or prevent fraud, spam, security incidents, or abuse;
resolve disputes or enforce site terms;
protect the rights and safety of KCulture.com, its users, or others; or
maintain a record that a valid deletion request was completed.

Users may separately remove KCulture.com from the connected apps or third-party access settings of their Facebook or Google account. Removing the connection may stop future access through that provider.

Removing KCulture.com from Facebook or Google does not necessarily delete the local KCulture.com account or information already stored in the KCulture.com WordPress database. To request deletion of locally stored data, users must follow the deletion-request procedure on this page.

Likewise, deleting a KCulture.com account does not delete the user’s Facebook or Google account or information independently maintained by those providers. Provider-side information must be managed through the applicable Facebook or Google privacy and account controls.

VI. Available Self-Service Controls

Logged-in users may edit certain account or profile information and may use any content-management or deletion controls displayed within their account. Available controls may vary according to the type of content, account permissions, and the current website configuration.

If a required deletion control is not available, or if the user cannot sign in, the user should submit a verified deletion request using the procedure described above.
