- Hyangiram Temple (Yeosu)
Hyangiram Temple, originally founded as Wontongam by Great Master Wonhyo in 644, stands as one of Korea’s four major Gwaneum (Avalokitesvara) prayer sites. Renamed multiple times, including its current name Hyangiram in 1715, the temple was meticulously restored and rebuilt after a devastating 2009 fire, with its main hall and other structures completed by 2012. - South Jeolla Province Marine Fisheries Science Museum
The South Jeolla Province Marine Fisheries Science Museum, opened in May 1998, is located at Musulmok Amusement Park, a historic site where Admiral Yi Sun-sin achieved victory, and connects to popular tourist destinations along the southern coast. It features extensive facilities including an aquarium, marine fisheries and science exhibition halls, a 3D stereoscopic theater, and a marine life natural history museum. - Dolsan Island
Dolsan Island, Korea’s 7th largest, is connected to the Yeosu Peninsula via the Dolsan Bridge, completed in 1984, which is a tourist attraction due to its beautiful seascape. The island offers a refreshing 1-2 hour drive along its 60km well-paved coastal road, encompassing famous sites like Dolsan Park, Hyangiram Temple, and Bangjukpo Beach. - Dolsan Park
Dolsan Park was established in 1987 on an 87,000 pyeong site, situated directly opposite Dolsan Bridge. It features a traditional teahouse converted from a drama set, offering tea with views of Dolsan Bridge, and is renowned for spectacular nightscapes of the bridge, Yeosu’s marine park, and Janggun Island. - Odon-do
Odon-do is an island renowned for its camellia flowers, serving as both a starting and ending point for Hallyeohaesang National Park, and is accessible from Yeosu via a long breakwater. The island features a lush evergreen forest, a wildflower garden, and over 3,000 camellia trees that begin blooming in October and reach full bloom by mid-March, making it a vibrant natural learning space.
